Your Eyes Look Out For You – So Make Sure You Look After Them

It may not be very pleasant to hear, but it is a fact that the modern woman feels rather undressed, if she has not put on her best makeup.  No doubt, putting on makeup makes a woman look very beautiful.  But while the makeup adds to one’s beauty, it may at the same time be taking off some of the natural beauty and qualities of one’s skin.  Moreover, not all makeup can just be washed off with a bit of water.  Some makeup is stubborn and needs special assistance to remove.  That is why most women resort to using an organic facial cleanser to remove the makeup.

Eye makeup is particularly hard to remove since it often involves false lashes that have been glued on.  If the makeup is not removed but is allowed to remain on the skin for too long, it might cause great damage to the skin.  As a protective measure, one must use a USDAcertified organic makeup remover to remove makeup.  Often the same makeup remover can double as an eye makeup remover also.

The skin is a sensitive and delicate organ.  Though through the process of evolution the skin has developed a certain amount of toughness, some parts of our skin are really very delicate.  The skin on the face and around the eyes comes under this category.  It is essential to take care of the facial skin by using only the best beauty aids.  And at the top of this list comes the best eye makeup remover.

Want To Look Your Best? Use a Good Face Cream!

Every woman wants to look beautiful.  She wants her face and skin to be glowing, radiant.  She wishes to be wrinkle free.  However, our skin gets battered by the environment day in and day out.  We suffer the effects of pollution.  We suffer the harsh rays of the sun in the summer and also go through chilling winters.  Hence, it is important to protect our skin with the right nourishment so that it remains supple and elastic.  In particular, facial skin is very sensitive and need to be protected by using a good USDA certified organic face cream.

A good face cream will remove fine lines from your face, and also helps remove wrinkles.  It moisturizes your skin.  It will provide nutrients that promote the production and retention of collagen.  That helps keep the skin smooth, soft and pliant.  Good face creams are the best facial moisturizers that can help your skin retain its glow and remain radiant.  They will help clear blocked pores on your skin, and ensure that the nutrients in the cream enter into the skin.  You must apply the cream on your face, and massage it in gently so that it enters the skin properly.

Whenever using any beauty aids, it is always better to go for an organic product.  Facial creams are no exception.  Therefore, take care to choose one of the best organic facial moisturizers.  A carefully chosen organic face cream can also double as an eye cream or as a makeup remover.  Hence, choose a cream that is organic and USDA certified, and be sure to test it before you buy.

An Effective Way to Bring Back Your Radiance

While stepping in the 40s, every woman stresses about the radiance of her face which with time starts diminishing and the wrinkles on the face start increasing. It is surely a matter of concern for a woman who loves flaunting her beauty and collecting appreciation time to time.

The best organic skin moisturizer can be very beneficial for your skin. This face and eye cream is the best anti aging cream which would prevent your face from wrinkles. This organic moisturizer contains organic beeswax which softens your skin and gives it required nourishment. It diminishes the lines and wrinkles on your face. It hydrates your skin while protecting it from the harsh environment. Your eyes are surrounded by delicate tissues and any random cream would be dangerous for your skin. This cream is gentle and effective for those tissues.

This best organic skin moisturizer is made of most friendly ingredients that provide much-needed nutrition and moisture to your skin and brings back the glow of your face.

Applying this cream is very simple. You just have to gently apply it to a clean face. If you want to avoid getting it in your eyes, use your fingertips while applying near your eyes. Keep it for 2 – 3 minutes on your face before applying any makeup. Make sure your fingers are clean.

The best skin moisturizer is not so costly either. You can easily manage it within your budget. And then when it is bringing back your skin’s moisturizer and giving you a soft skin just like a baby, it can never be a wrong decision.

Take Care of Yourself And The Baby – Use a Good Nursing Cream

One of the most important assets of the human body is the skin.  We are covered from head to toe by our skin.  Our skin is constantly exposed to a lot of battering.  From the pollution, from the climate changes. It is important to take care of our skin by nourishing it with the right nourishment so that it remains supple and elastic.  While that goes for all of us in general, new and nursing mothers have an additional special need.  Since they are nursing, their breasts and nipples go through frequent strain as the baby feeds.  Given that the nipples are very sensitive to begin with, they need particular care when the mother is nursing.  They need to be protected by using a good USDA certified nursing cream.

Apart from the tugs and pulls from the baby’s mouth that the breasts and nipples go through, they are also under risk of infection.  Infection could come up from the yeast that may form around the nipples by drops of milk that get deposited and smeared there.  To ward off potential problems of infections, it is essential to immediately clean the nipples after feeding the baby, and then follow it up with the best nursing cream that you can get.

You must be careful to choose an organic breast feeding cream that is also USDA certified.  This will be gentle on the nipples, and harmless to the baby.  The same cream can also be often used to treat baby’s diaper rash.  So, if you are nursing, take care to find and use a good USDA certified organic nursing cream. It is good for you; it is good for the baby!

Change Of Season

Do you feel the change of seasons coming on? It's in the air and all around us.  Sometimes it’s our skin that makes us take notice of the daylight hours waning and temperatures dropping.  Those of us who avoid the cold may find ourselves retreating inside more. As we increase the temperature on our thermostat, we decrease the moisture in the air.  As a result our troubled skin areas can become more pronounced and require attention.

On the other hand, those who eagerly await the weather may feel the crispness of the air prickle the nose and skin as it constricts to block out the elements.  It’s unavoidable; the weather can take a toll! The combination of wind and rain can be harsh on our skin and cause dryness, chapping and extra-sensitivity.

It’s just like anything else in life though, awareness and attention are the keys to adjusting to change with grace and flow.  With awareness we’re able to check-in with ourselves and bring attention to our needs, then gather the facts and guidance needed to make informed decisions.  The follow-through is essential though!  Self-care requires an action-plan!  Here’s one you may adapt to suit your skincare needs

HYDRATE!  Internally and topically! If you’re like me, I find it difficult to drink enough water when it’s cold and rainy. On chilly mornings, I fill the kettle for tea, and make a mental note to finish that whole pot by the end of the day.  Lemon and honey are the perfect additions to ward off illness and boost the immune system.

Give your skin a fighting chance to face the elements with moisturizers that penetrate and heal.  The Lotion has that name for a reason— it’s the one to grab for skin in need of deep hydration, it’s richly nourishing and will provide the vitamins and nutrients needed to rejuvenate your skin after being out in the weather. Organic extra virgin olive oil, organic beeswax, organic wilelaiki (Christmas berry) and honey work in combination to hydrate and promote cell regeneration.  It’s ideal for the whole body and yet gentle enough to use on the face.

Special attention is needed for the face.  Besides our neck and chest, it’s the thinnest skin on our body and requires extra TLC.  In addition, it’s often the only spot on our body that’s not protected with clothes!  As a result, it’s constantly exposed to the elements. The HGO Face & Eye cream is the best face/neck moisturizer and anti-aging cream in the skin care industry.  It softens and nourishes your skin while diminishing fine lines and wrinkles by using only the highest quality organic beeswax. It helps repair and protect your skin from harsh environmental elements while hydrating and nourishing for suppleness.

Many of us are so busy in our day-to-day lives; we don’t feel we can take the time necessary to truly care for our skin as needed.  However, we forget that when we turn in for the night, we can turn on “hydration therapy” simply by applying the Honey Girl Organics .   After a warm bath or shower, gently pat dry, leaving skin moist.  Apply The Lotion all over body and face.  Afterwards, add a thin layer of the Night Cream to your face and neck.  Breathe in the warmth and aloha, and know that come morning, your skin will be nourished and ready for the day.

We at Honey Girl Organics wish you much joy as you welcome the changing of season, the bounty of the harvest and the rewards of caring for yourself and beloveds.  Aloha!

Bee Grateful!

I’ve been accused of a lot of things.  But this, this had to be the most shocking and— quite frankly, silliest of all.  On the way home from a busy day of weekend errands, my husband accused me of being, get this— ‘happy all the time.”  I had to put that in quotes as much for you as for me, because I still can’t believe he said that (in a non-sarcastic tone).
See, the thing is, it’s just not true.  And he should know!  I stress like the best of them, —my kids, the bees, and the state of the world! Good grief.  Where do I begin? And yet, he said it like he meant it!
Looking back, I’m trying to remember the context of the conversation that would cause him to say such a ridiculous thing.  I can’t.  I really think he just blew my mind and it caused everything said before and after to be dust in the wind.  Well, I do remember one thing.  The whole sentence was actually, “the best thing about you is that you’re happy all the time.”
I’ve never been so flattered, and— perplexed!!  I’ve been trying to wrap my brain around this for a few days now, and you know what?  I figured it out.
No way am I “happy all the time”.  But, one thing I am is grateful, “most” of the time.
In fact, I’m pretty darn grateful that you’re reading this right now.  True! Let me give you a bit of the back-story and you’ll understand why.  You see, I’m a beekeeper.  Have been for many years now.  Unbeknownst to me, when my family moved to Hawaii, we happen to land a block away from Honey Girl Organics.  Beekeepers have a way of finding bees and vice versa it seems, and it didn’t take long before I was working for Anthony, founder of Honey Girl Organics, tending to his hives.  It can be hard work, heavy lifting, and sure, every so often ya get stung, but man, is it fun!!!  To work with these bees has been pure joy.  Why?  Because they live in a tropical paradise surrounded with fruit trees, flowers and well, to be put it simply aloha!  No chemicals are ever used to treat them—these bees are wild and free!  Anthony has been a beekeeper for nearly 30 years now, and he knows the best way to care for nature is frankly, to get out of its way. ;)
So that’s why, when the harvest was over, and I asked for more hours, he said no.  It’s time to “let the bees be.”  He was right, and I knew it.  And I was grateful.  Thankful to work for a company with integrity and respect for the bees.  Grateful to myself for having the wisdom to not loose sight of the big picture, and how these bees on this little island in the Pacific, matter.
…And yet, you know that wise saying about “when one door closes, another opens?”  Well, Anthony said to me that while he didn’t have any more work for me with the bees, he mentioned “there’s this blog to write,” —and if I wanted, I could “give it a go”.  I thought to myself, seriously?  I love to write, but rarely do. It seems this busy life just hasn’t let up, and sadly, I felt like I never had the time.  But, give me a reason to write about bees, and all the wonderful and truly amazing things they do, and all the magical gifts they give us?  Look out!! I’m one grateful gal.  And ok, I admit even— “happy.”
I hope that you will meet me back here at this blog as we journey along together and (as they say in Hawaii) talk story about bees, honey and everything in-between!  In the meantime, bee grateful, and don't be surprised if it just makes you happy too.
